Level 2

10/13 This week, the class reviewed Chapter 8 - God Gives Us His Laws and discussed what it means to trust the Lord with all our hearts. Students reviewed the story of Moses and talked about what it must have been like for him to rescue the Israelites from Egypt. The class learned that despite his fear and not feeling worthy, Moses was obedient and soon realized he wasn't alone - God was with him every step of the way.  Moses and the Israelites were blessed abundantly because of his obedience to God.  God even gave them manna from heaven to feed them each day! The class then started to learn about the 10 Commandments and how God gave them to Moses to share with his people.  Students then discussed the importance of rules and why we have rules; they are given to us out of love!  The class then played a game discussing real life scenarios and identifying which commandment they were associated with.  â€‹â€‹

10/20 Students worked through Chapter 9 and learned more about the 10 Commandments. The class also learned about the 2 types of sin - venial and mortal. Toward the end of class, students met and prayed with their prayer buddies (the Confirmation students)
